It’s rare to have cold weather in Vancouver late November/early December.  We had a few inches of snow fall in my neighborhood the other week.  That’s unusual!  One of my favorite things is how the garden gets a pristine “blanket” – covering up all the bits and pieces of leaves and decay and becomes a clean canvas.

It’s fun to see so clearly what activity has taken place. Although I’m in the city, there are lots of creatures roaming around at night and many tiny little footprints show their travels through the garden.

I found the tiniest little tracks on the deck the other morning. So dainty and delicate. Time to put some birdseed out!
